Sustainability and GHG Footprinting Consultant

Canopy Edge is a global management consulting firm that provides clients with the strategic advice and tools needed to navigate and excel in the Net Zero corporate sustainability journey. The firm offers measurement and strategy for science-based targets, supplier engagement solutions, ESG reporting and program management, thought leadership, and market messaging advisory services.

Canopy Edge is seeking sustainability consultants to guide clients on a sustainability journey toward Net Zero, on a contractual or contract-to-hire basis. We are recruiting consultants who can independently deliver Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG footprints, in addition to assisting clients with target setting. Our team will be able to leverage additional skills and experience related to abatement, disclosures, regulatory requirements, and climate risk. 

Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Scope 1 and 2 GHG Footprinting
  • Scope 3 GHG Footprinting
  • Net Zero Roadmaps
  • Abatement Strategies and Implementation
  • CDP Advisory
  • Renewable Energy
  • TCFD / Climate Risk

Key competencies:

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Solid quantitative analysis, ability to create footprint assessments using best practices for data collection, analysis, gap filling, etc.
  • Strong secondary research / information discovery and aggregation skills
  • Ability to work independently within a defined project framework
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Management consulting / sustainability & climate analysis / GHG footprinting experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

Geographic location is flexible, but preference will be given to candidates who can work in our Lakewood, Colorado headquarters office.  


ESG and Sustainability Consultant

Canopy Edge is seeking ESG and sustainability consultants to guide clients on a sustainability journey toward Net Zero, on a contractual or contract-to-hire basis. Responsibilities include strategic consulting for ESG program development, supplier engagement and procurement strategies, thought leadership and go-to-market strategies, and climate risk analysis. The consultant will create thought leadership pieces and media content, implement analytical methodologies and tools, interact with clients and the press, deliver presentations, and lead ESG consulting engagements. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate thought-provoking and original analytical findings to a global client base that includes small, medium, and large corporations across all vertical markets and geographies, the investor community, NGOs, and government agencies.

  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrated team management and matrix management experience
  • Go-to-market advisory and delivery experience
  • Management consulting / sustainability & climate analysis / GHG footprinting experience is strongly preferred
